The Troupe Theatre believes that theatre is for everyone and, as such, every person deserves to be treated with kindness, respect, and equity. All are welcome to audition for our productions. No roles have been pre-cast and all roles are open for our Mainstage shows: Puffs, our 24-Hour Play Festival, Sylvia, and Addams Family.
We utilize panel-style casting made up of 3 individuals who utilize a rubric system. Notes specific to your performance are taken. Anyone who auditions may request to see their rubrics once the production has been cast. All auditionees will be informed throughout the audition process of callbacks and casting, regardless of whether a role is being offered to you.
All auditions for this season are video submissions with in-person callbacks.

Audition Tips
Prepare for the day: prepare your audition, of course, but familiarize yourself with the story we're telling. We want to see your version of the story! Read our audition notices and be sure you're bringing what's asked (time limits, monologue genres, songs, etc.). For callbacks, be sure you've got everything you need (including music, dance shoes, etc.).
Know your schedule: Rehearsal schedules are posted alongside audition notices. Please compare it to your schedule ahead of time so our casting panel is aware of conflicts and can accommodate for them.
Everything is an audition: kindness to others, professionalism, and work ethic are on display at all times, even if you're sitting in the audience.
Please know that release from an audition or callback early is not an indication that you are not being cast. Casting is an artform in itself. While you're with us for auditions or callbacks, we want you to have fun and make some choices. See you onstage!
From a family man's unusual day to a school family, to a couple with a dog, to two families having dinner, to a father looking for his son, and to a girl moving forward in a world without her mother, the stories we're telling this season are all about families. We are seeking actors of all ages this season, but please pay attention to each show's age range.
Audition information is posted below. Specific sides and character breakdowns will be posted one month prior to the video submission window opening. If you have any questions, please contact us.
